2014 Cadillac Escalade vs. 2014 GMC Yukon Denali

The SUV market consists of a wide range of quality vehicles. When it comes to large SUVs, both the 2014 Cadillac Escalade and 2014 GMC Yukon Denali have fans in an uproar. But which is the better vehicle? Let's take a look at each vehicle and find out.

Features of the 2014 Cadillac Escalade

The Escalade has always been an outstanding luxury SUV and this new version is more of the same, which is a good thing. The first thing you'll notice when behind the wheel is its powerful V8 that's itching to get out on the road and show what it can do. Fuel economy is on par for its class, averaging 14 mpg in the city and 18 mpg on the highway.

The Escalade's exterior is attractive and appears quite strong. Inside, most of the materials are of a very high quality, and the seats are extremely comfortable, making for a great ride anywhere. There's even a great deal of cargo space, which families will love. Plus, this vehicle is stocked with extras, including a ten-speaker audio system, Bluetooth connectivity, navigation system, backup camera, and much more

Features of the 2014 GMC Yukon Denali

With a strong 6.2L V8 under its hood, the Denali trim of the GMC Yukon performs very well, though it doesn't seem to be as refined as the base model's V8 engine. The Denali drives quite well, averaging 15 mpg in the city and 21 mpg on the highway, but some drivers haven't been too keen on the handling. Inside the vehicle, there is plenty of space for family and cargo, despite a third-row that seems to be a bit cramped. The Denali offers a comfortable ride, with plush seats that are great for short jaunts or long excursions. You also get great premium features with this trim, like leather upholstery, power liftgate, rearview camera, and several others.

2014 Cadillac Escalade vs 2014 GMC Yukon Denali

These two vehicles make a great comparison. Both SUVs are powerful and comfortable and come equipped with many of the latest gadgets that many drivers clamor for these days. Their fuel economies are close enough not to be much of an issue. If there's one big difference to consider, it's the superior handling of the 2014 Cadillac Escalade. The 2014 GMC Yukon Denali has comfort but doesn't seem to be quite as comfortable or fun to drive.
